2008 MFA Thesis Creatures- A Series of Sculptural Costumes and 2010 Solo Show On Display.
Creatures "documents" the surreal, hyper-feminine creatures in their habitats. The creatures are seductive and awkward in their
stances, mirroring young womens hybrid of self-confidence and insecurity. The free-formed costumes utilize feminine sewing
techniques such as smocking, pleating, gathering, and embroidery. There is humor behind the socially constructed beauty ideals.
